TONY BLACKBURN: I’m Tony Blackburn a DJ on BBC Radio2, BBC Berkshire, BBC Oxford, BBC Surrey and Sussex…BBC Radio London….BBC Radio Solent and KMFM. My Podcast is called Ricky & Tony: Pop Detectives. Ricky Wilson and I look into Pop myths and solve them.
PB: What’s the first podcast you ever listened to?
TB: A Ricky Gervais Podcast many years ago.
PB: Why did you decide to start podcasting in the first place?
TB: Ricky Wilson asked me to be involved so I said yes. I mean, how could I say no to him?
PB: Which podcasts do you take inspiration from?
TB: I take no inspiration from any other Podcast. We are the only Pop Detectives doing this difficult work.
PB: Who’s your dream guest for the podcast?
TB: Ozzie Osbourne. There’s some fabulous myths and mysteries about him to explore.
PB: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt so far as a podcaster?
TB: Have fun and try to make it entertaining.
PB: Which episode would you say is the perfect introduction to your podcast?
TB: Possibly the first one we did to do with Blondie and Ted Bundy!!
