With the evenings drawing in and the weather taking a turn for the worse, many of us are struggling to keep up with the regular outdoor exercise habits we got ourselves into over lockdown. Joe Wicks isn’t doing his daily YouTube workouts anymore and lets face it, keeping motivated with so much uncertainty at the moment can be a real struggle. At times like these a new approach is often required and thankfully Spotify have just launched something really clever in the UK and Ireland – Spotify Pumped.
Spotify Pumped is a new fitness experience that allows both non and existing Spotify users to create free personalised HIIT workouts, voiced by big podcast names and soundtracked by your favourite artists. So, if you want to dip low with Diplo, this fun new feature will get you working up a sweat in no time.
So far in 2020 over 385,000 workout playlists have been created or added to on Spotify, with the top five workout tracks being:
- Imanbek, SAINt JHN – Roses – Imanbek Remix
- The Weeknd – Blinding Lights
- Dua Lipa – Physical
- Kanye West – POWER
- Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now
With Spotify Pumped, you can create your own music led workout by answering a few simple questions; first select your workout space – whether that’s your garden or living room – then your chosen intensity level, followed by your preferred music genre, before finally selecting your very own Spotify celebrity ‘coach’ to keep your motivation high. The celebrity trainers are from some of Spotify’s top podcasts, including:
- Dani Dyer from Sorted with the Dyers
- Tolly T from The Receipts
- Tazer Black from 3ShotsofTequilla
- Niall Breslin from Where is My Mind?
Each HIIT session will last between 7 and 21 minutes and will be guided by a number of animated trainers who’ll show you the ropes. We’ll certainly be giving this a go over the coming weeks so let us know if you do too!
